Northumbria

Our last holiday in the UK (this time around) saw us travel up north to New Mills and visit Patty and Sam. We stayed the night and then travelled together up to Northumberland where we stayed at the Old Repeater Station near the middle of Haridan’s Wall. Over the long weekend we walked parts of the wall, visited the Northumbrian Coast and ate at a number of nice eateries. We met up with Heidi at Bamburgh and also visited the Angel of the North, wandered through a few pubs in Alnwick, and drove through driving rain on the return trip as we headed towards the Wolf House Gallery in Silverdale. It was a good weekend, a nice visit on our last Bank Holiday weekend.

Tomorrow we head back to London and stay with Kathy and Sharon for our last two nights before flying off to Mexico City via New York. With luck we’ll catch up with a few people Wednesday lunchtime and evening before then.
