And this is what it looks like in the makeshift home studio, also known as the dining room:

The backdrop is a sheet purchased in a sale today from Briscoes, the reflectors came with an issue of the UK Amateur Photographer magazine a few years back, the snoot (the thingy around the flash to help direct the light) is a rolled up piece of A4 paper taped on to the flash with a piece of cardboard (from the sheet packaging) used to block light from hitting the backdrop. The spoon rests in Keryn’s mortar and is counterbalanced with a small tabletop tripod (which was also obtained free from a UK photography magazine). The breadmaker in the background is not required for the photo making process.
I have also discovered I need better rechargeable batteries, the ones I have only last for a dozen or so shots before the cycle time gets too long to be bearable.
I like how you can see the silhouette of a lady in the second one.
Paul says it looks more like an orchid. A smoke orchid.
I see the orchid more than the lady, is it a headless lady (so a ghost)?
Sure! Ghost lady, she died in a fire. No smoke alarm. Hence..
I see a lady too-and an orchid now. Awesome photos. The first one makes me think of Pink Floyd.
whats on the spoon is realy the question that needs to be answered mister doran?????
Just smoke officer, honest 🙂
