It’s our last day at work today before heading off into the wilds of Africa. Tomorrow morning we fly out of Heathrow and then 8 hours or so later we arrive in Nairobi and the adventure begins. By all accounts the airport will be an adventure as well what with potentially corrupt customs staff, tireless taxi drivers literally wanting to take us for a ride and charge us inappropriately for the privilege and the reputation of Nairobi as the mugging capital of Africa also sitting at the back of our minds (Nairobbery I’ve heard it called). Still, we’re not in Nairobi for long so I’m sure we’ll be fine.
Most of the packing is now done, just a few bits and pieces to find places for tonight. We’re staying with Jim and Gee now and will return to their house in December. The house is also shared with Milo and Max, two kittens of inquisitive nature. It’s nice to have cats around again.
We’ll write here when we can and I’ll be trying my best to get photos up as well. Hopefully we’ll see most of those who read these messages on our travels. If we don’t we hope you all stay well and we’ll catch up with you via email while we’re travelling or upon our return.
Hey K&B Have a great trip, be safe and sound, and we will see you in December. Enjoy your birthday on Sat. Keryn, I hope you will be somewhere interesting to celebrate. LOL always Heidz
