Tonight, I’m part of the Moonwalk call centre. The Moonwalk is an annual (walking) marathon and half marathon through London and for the last few years Land Securities Trillium has offered its call centre facilities for the night. A bunch of volunteers (that’d be us) man the phones and take calls from walk-wardens, organisers, Police etc etc.
The walk starts at three different times, 11.00pm, 11.30pm and 12.00am, though people have been answering phones since 4pm as the various help-people have been settings things up since then. It’s just about time to start on the phones, we’re here till 11.00am tomorrow morning… a long night ahead.
