We went sailing on the weekend just gone. We were invited by Keryn’s ex-boss Trish to join her, her husband Nigel and Kevin who works in the IS department at Landsecurities. Nigel and Trish are the sailing experts and Kevin had previous experience while Keryn and I had…looked at a sailing boat from various ferries […]
"And that’s to laugh and smile and dance and sing"
We went sailing on the weekend, more on that later. Last night I travelled to Trafalgar Square after I finished work to take part in the world record attempt at creating the largest coconut orchestra. The event was a combination of a promotional stunt for the Spamalot west end show and a celebration of being […]
Alan and the Circus
On Tuesday night we attended a Circus event on the Southbank. Called Sequins and Sawdust it was a Circus with a story – kind of like a Cirque du Soleil performance done by students without most of the extreme feats of strength and agility. It was good, the actors/performers all seemed to be really enjoying […]
Weekend visits

I already have some nice […]

Monday saw us driving from Brentwood over to Bristol to attend the first public concert by the newly reformed Crowded House. In the morning I took the train down to Ilford and picked up the rental car. Then it was back to Brentwood to pick up Keryn and we were soon on the M25 heading […]
A musical start to the week
This week has been notable for a couple of musical events. On Monday night I was joined by Ollie (from work) and Ben (used to work together back in NZ) at the Shepherds Bush Empire to watch Tim Finn in concert. We had seated tickets but were able to go downstairs to get up by […]
