The marketing machine behind the Hobbit premier in Wellington is kicking into high gear and today a new sculpture was unveiled on the front of the Embassy Theatre. Gandalf now proudly stands in front of a certain hobbits home, tapping on his door and awaiting a reply. There is also a new hobbit themed baggage carousel at Wellington Airport, what next I wonder?

Passing traffic ghosts past the Embassy, I saw one accident when I passed the theatre earlier in the evening, presumably someone was paying more attention to the sculpture than the road.
